Sometimes I feel like Animal Collective is the golf of our generation. At least in Austin, they are something that you can talk about with literally anybody . Awkward silence in the elevator? So….that new Animal Collective CD is coming out. Word? Word. Yeah, that should be good. I saw them once–so high.
I talk about Animal Collective my fair share, but it is mostly things internet rumors ABOUT Animal Collective, my first time really listening to them was the other day on the Letterman show and it was pretty average. They had some weird dancing. So there was that.
Anyway, listen to this Dâm-Funk remix of AC’s song “Summer Clothes”. The last time I saw the internet so ecstatic about a remix it was when Justice remixed those MGMT buttholes’ song…you know the one with all the dumb flutes. Hopefully that doesn’t mean that Dâm is Justice in this analogy. We’ll call it when he starts marketing a custom line of Locs.
